Level 1 ASP

Road and Rail Excavations are an accredited service provider (ASP) with the New South Wales Department of Planning, Industry and Environment under the Contestability Scheme.

We hold an ASP1 Accreditation (ASP #5217) in categories 1A, 1B, 1C and 1X which facilitates our expertise in installing electrical infrastructure for each of the NSW Distribution Network Service Providers (DNSP’s). A breakdown of each accredited category can be found below:

  • 1A - Overhead (OH)

  • 1B – Underground Paper lead (UG)

  • 1C - Underground Polymeric (UG Poly)

  • 1X – Electrically Unqualified (EU)

Our team are authorised with each of the three NSW DNSP’s which enables us to deliver your level 1 project on each of the electricity networks in NSW.

Contestable works (or customer funder works) we deliver include, but are not limited to:

  • Network augmentation

  • Substation Installation (ground and indoor substations)

  • Zone substation construction

  • Streetlighting

  • Duct installation

  • Joint bays, vault and pits

  • Low voltage cable installation

  • High voltage cable installation

  • Cable installation and hauling of all sizes including 240V, 415V, 11kV, 33kV, 66kV, 132kV, 220kV and 330kV

  • Cable terminations and jointing (for each voltage listed above)

  • Cable testing and commissioning functions
